    I bought a new ASUS M6Ne a few months a go,
    with it I got a 12volt 40watt power supply
witch I bean using without any problems,
now I learnt that it is the wrong supply, it
    should have bean a 19volt 65 watt.

Now my question, would it cussed any harm to my laptop?
CAN I KEEP ON USING IT?

I am not sure - you are essentially 'undervolting' your notebook without knowing it. Most notebook should not be able to turn on if there is a 7 volt drop in potential going in.

I don't think you have done any damage to your notebook. (Not sure though, just using intuition) but call Asus and get your adaptor changed.

electronics should always have enough voltage. undervolting can damage many types of devices. always run things with enough power.

I lost count how many times people returned laptops who self admited that they used after market power supplies. Can you keep using it? I guess you can take your chances. My question is how can you run it full speed with only a 40watt supply? That thing must get very very hott!

i think the battery is used as buffer and hereby he can run at 12v 40watt.

just a question can you use your laptop for a longtime? because normally your laptop would drain more than 40 watt from your battery so your power supply woudnt be able to keep up . and after a long time your battery would just be empty even when it is connected to the PS.

but i would certainly get the right PS for your laptop .

Thanks very much for the reply s,

I Have received the proper power supply now from the
    dealer.
The strange think is that the old 12v worked fine, I played games DOOM 3, SPLINTER CELL, burnt DVDs all went fine  Svea
