Does anyone know how to add new configuration modes to Power4 Gear (if it's even possible that is)? I'd like more options over performance settings than super, high, and game offer when on AC. For example, none of those modes allow me to throttle the CPU like CD-Audio does.

I know NHC is the recommended software for this stuff, but when I installed it my computer became very, very slow.

    Thanks for the help guys!

    Hi jleyba,

currently it's not possible to add new configurations to powergear4, so you need to use other programs/solutions like NHC or settle with powergear4. It depends on your Asus model whether NHC works proberly, but it should on most models.

You can also look into http://power4gear.bk-kicks.com/ , but it hasn't been updated for some time, so if and when new configurations are supported is a good question.

    Sincerely,
    Kåre W. Christensen

Yeah get rid of power 4 gear and get Centrino hardware control. Really the only profiles you need are one for max battery life. and one for best performance.
