Hi all, first let me describe my problems here:>

    >I have an Asus X550LN laptop : which was upgraded to 8GB ram, 2,7ghz, and have a GT 840M . and my problem is, when I playing games, it smooth for 5-10 mins, then lagging into unplayable FPS, I search many forum and try all methods but not thing changed: Overheat problem -> I cleaned my fan and everything, also temp when lagging are between 55-60'C so overheating is not the problem, nor the CPU drop at all, I brought my laptop to the store but nothing fix except they cleaned my mobo and my fan, power4gear high performance ...and lagging still happen.>

    >so, into the main things, today I noticed that in the latest Nvidia driver ( the one which is support GTAV ) has note that : no support for notebooks which has Hybrid Power technology supported. so , I start to think that, everytime I start a game, using Nvidia latest driver ( I always update to latest driver), when the game start and need high power to run, P4G kicked in and crashed with the latest Nvidia driver (which is obvious not support for power hybrid) and made the games have to run which crappy Intel driver which was causing lag and unplayable FPS....is that possible ? :>

    >If yes, then my questions are:>

    > 1. can I run games fine without driver crash running Power4Gear and Nvidia driver ( the one on Asus driver website, not the lastest one on Geforce.com) -- (and because most people complaining about crappy P4G so I don't think this is a good option ) ??>

    >2. Or can I run game perfectly with the latest Nvidia driver ( on geforce website) without P4G installed , is this possible to prevent the driver crashes, ? >

    >thanks for reading my long post, and waiting fowards to your reply, because this will help many people using ASUS's product to get the best gaming performance.>

    >P/s: I'm newbie here so if my thread is not in the right box, then please move it to the right one...thank you. !

I think your first course of action should be to remove P4G. A lot of users report issues with P4G and uninstall it. Do that and continue to run on the latest NVidia driver, and make certain your NVidia control panel settings (3D settings) are configured for 'Performance.'
