i really would appreciate anyone's help on this issue.
i have just recently bought an Asus g51 and i had to reinstall everything from scratch including Vista for a stupid mistake that i have made. initially i had no problems and Power4gear hybrid was showing the option for " Turbo mode" but then after vista's verification of all new drivers installed that turbo option disappeared after restarting the computer and even after uninstalling the application and reinstalling it will still not show up...anybody's help would be appreciated

Install ALL of the ATK drivers and the turbo option will appear again.

I had the same problem and it was solved by installing the ATK generic function utility I think (I may be wrong). Like Raiden said, try reinstalling all the ATK's to be safe.

well i think both of u r right. bcz when i try to click on "asus data security manager" on the system tray it gives me this message "install ATK generic function service first " ..but the problem is that in the utility disc i have 4 folders containing different kinds of ATK drivers but one of them fails to install . the "ATK0100" ...i don't know if its the cause of the problem but do u have any idea how to work around this? whenever i try to install an icon pops up saying install failed.. thanks in advance for the help

use the asistant that comes with the cd .. check the boxes that makes reference to the ATK'S and then click to install.

Do you say you installed windows vista again ? try entering the cd and in properties click the option to install as admin =)
