After doing a fresh install of Win7 64, I installed the nvidia drivers and then installed the 1.24 version of power4gear.

I can switch (with the button) the power4gear stuff, and it changes the screen brightness and processor state, but it is not switching my graphics card from integrated to discrete. The only way to do that is by clicking the little green arrow in the task bar that is the nvidia thing. Then switch there from integrated to discrete or vice-versa.

I tried reinstalling the power4gear stuff, no luck.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Hello, may I ask which notebook model you have?

If it is one of the UL series...I believe your problem can be solved by setting Power4Gear Hybrid into High Performance mode, uninstalling the Nvidia drivers, running the VGA Patch tool (found on the ASUS support site), and finally reinstalling the Nvidia drivers.

Also, just to be clear, you are using the Nvidia drivers from the ASUS support site correct?

I found the problem- so its a UL30vt-X1 (which ROCKS btw). It wasnt really a problem with the power4gear.

Interestingly, I use microsoft online services (BPOS) for email and other things. The SignOn.exe utility that connects me to the service prevents power4gear from working properly. No idea at all why but these two applications are incompatible.

Just in case anyone else runs into the same issue!
