I've been browsing on powernotebooks.com for an Asus alternative to Alienware and Dell.

The prices are nice, $700 lower in fact, but they're not Asus per se, they're PowerPro, whatever that is...

It says it's "Built on Asus" fair enough, is it kind of like how Sapphire cards are built on ATI's Radeons?

Has anyone here ever bought a PowerPro?

And anyone who has bought a machine from powernotebooks, what is the quality of their warranty?

Powernotebooks just name their laptops differently, but still state the original names and make.

For example Clevo makes the laptops but you can find a variety of brands of it, Alienware, Vodoo and Sager, so they are all the same laptops made from Clevo, but the brand is different.

The Laptop itself is no different, unless modifications are done, so the quality of the laptop is the same.

yes powernotebooks has two different brands of its own, different warranties
for instance if u find the z96js youll notice a crown and powerpro version, these are both from asus, and assembled by powernotebooks the way any reseller assembles a barebones (i should say any good reseller as nothing is screwed up). however if you look all powerpro models be they asus, compal, or msi barebones carry a 3 year warranty, while all crown notebooks have warranty options.
