I'm planning to get a laptop which is is mobile but when I'm at home I will have it connected to another Monitor, Keyboard mouse and all my other devices. From my understanding there is no docking port for the W3 so the only solution is a USB replicator. The question, is it possible to power up the W3 without opening the laptop?

Technically, the power button can't be reached with the lid closed. So you'd have to power it up and then close it... then you can run off your your external monitor.

The W3 will not have a port bar replicator like the M series.

    Thanks,

I thought the power button on the W3 was located on the right side, near the hinge.

Oh thats right, we're talking about the W3... I don't know what I was thinking.

Yeah, you should be able to power it up just as you wish.

    Thanks,

Hi Jorlin - how is it going with your W3 so far? Need some updates/feedback if you may please as this model is about to be sold in the US in a few weeks. Thank you.

The M series has a port bar replicator?? Excellent. I tried to find out information on this before I bought mine, and couldn't find anything about it. Does it fit the M5? Where are they available?

No, the M5 is in the series but doesn't play by the rules... I'm sure there is a reason for it.

The M1/S1 both use the port bar 2

The M2/M3/M6 all use the port bar 3

    Thanks,
    Justin
