    For what it's worth: http://www.a1-electronics.net/News/2006/May/2/10-1.shtml

    Excerpt:

Asus introduced two white colored dual-core notebooks in Taiwan, the Asus W5F and Asus W7J - with suggested retail prices of NT$62,800 (US$1,993) and NT$60,800.

Slightly under $2k would be my guess (as has been speculated)

well, considering that the w5f is $1799, i would expect the w7j to be more expensive b/c it is essentially the w5f except with a dedicated card. or is the w7j worse overall than the w5f?

Don't know where I heard or read this, but the W7j would be cheaper. Maybe by a 100 or so bucks.

nope, the W7J is bigger than the W5. Usually bigger is cheaper unless you go up to a 17"

gotcha. for some reason, i thought it was 12" as well. is it 13.3" or 14"? b/c i heard somewhere that 13.3" was more expensive to make than even 12....

lol, you are right, infact I think it was Brian who said that in that Dell xps release of that new 12" with the Go 7300. In any case, from looks alone, the W7J looks exactly like their other 13.3 model, the W6, just with a camera on top and dedicated graphics.

I think the V1J will be more similar priced to the Macbook Pro than the W7J. The W7J should be (hopefully) under $2k.
