    Prior V6 batteries not compatible with V6J

    Batteries from prior V6 series are not completely compatible with the V6J. I had charging issues while using a V6V battery in a V6J. The charging was erratic, i.e. charge for a while, then stop charging for 1-2s, then charge again. ASUS engineers in Melbourne have confirmed the issue and have narrowed it down to the fact that the V6J stock battery is 5200mA while the V6V battery is 4800mA. Using a V6V battery in a V6J notebook will result in the V6J overcharging the V6V battery by 400mA :eek:

    Make sure you get V6J batteries for V6J notebooks ;)
