I am trying to install Ubuntu on my laptop that has an existing Vista install. From what I have read so far, Ubuntu seems to be very install-friendly and should be very straight forward with trying to do so. So when I restart the computer with the Ubuntu CD in the drive, I get the load screen and choose the first option to just load Ubuntu onto the RAM. It loads and crunches for a while, getting all the statuses etc, until I see my webcam light on and then finally the CD drive stops loading and the screen just remains on a blank screen until I reboot again.... Any ideas of what may be causing this? I am attempting to install the newest Ubuntu 7.10.

    Thanks!
