    I have a G73jH w/ Radeon 5870, 8 GB RAM, (2) 500 GB HDD, latest 213modded BIOS & VBIOS.

I was unsuccessful in getting Catalyst installed (I was previously using 12.10). I got the classic BEX error
when it tried to install CCC. So I removed all the 13.2b7 stuff & tried to reinstall 12.10.

This was also unsuccessful, but fortunately knowing how flaky AMD installs go I created a system image
of my C: boot drive, just before the install, which I was able to restore to & get back up & running.

I'm just curios if any body else has been able to install later Catalyst versions than 12.10. I tried 12.14, etc & they
    also failed.

From 12.10 to 13.2 back to 12.10? Did you already try 13.1 stable release? That's the most current WHQL. You might need to try a clean install (AMD doesn't offer the option by default but you can do this yourself, either by manually navigating to leftover AMD/ATI directories to delete them, or use Revo; you don't need to have Revo delete the leftover registry entries though).
