I installed windows XP Professional on my A8JP, and now I wish to revert back to MCE that came preinstalled on the hard drive.

When I use the recovery CD that came with it, It seems to reinstall XP professional. I have even deleted all partitions before using the recovery CD. That seems odd to me. Is MCE actually ON the recovery disk? Maybe a scrap of XP professional is being left behind causing it to reinstall it?

Has anyone experienced this or know why it could be doing this?

I don't think the A8jp ever had MCE, though I may be wrong.

Yes, when I bought it from Newegg it came preinstalled with MCE.

An "image" of MCE is inside the recovery disk. I'd recommend a complete reformat of your hard disk, then use the recovery disk to install MCE.

MCE is based off XP Professional, so it might seems that it is reinstalling XP Pro again.
