Hello, Ive had my prime for about 1.5 months now and am so so about it. Backlight bleed isn't too bad; but the battery life is sub par. However, neither of these are the issue for me. My problem is, when I close the lid the prime will go into sleep mode but when I open the lid I have to press the power button before it will resume from sleep. I am using battery saving Power 4 Gear and I have tried using both Performance and battery saving settings on the Instant On feature. I have looked through all the power options under this power plan and none of them mentions lid open action. Please help, this is the most frustrating part of this laptop for me. Thanks for any help!

Thank you so much for the help everyone! Creating a new account to ask just one question on this forum has been both rewarding and worthwhile.

Pressing the little power button is the most frustrating part of owning your zenbook?

You don't mention your model, but I have a US32VD. There is a BIOS option to turn on the laptop when opening the lid. BUT... I keep it disabled because otherwise the laptop can turn on by itself, completely drain its battery, while making my bag very hot. Can't say that's better than pressing a little button.

It was set to on when I bought mine. Maybe in later units they set the default to off. Or maybe they removed the option completely.

What model do you have. I have a model UX21E and as soon as I close the lid the laptop sleeps. When I open the lid it automatically comes on. Can you tell me what version of the bios you have currently running. I am currently running 211
