Hello, Im from Philippines, my dad bought my ASUS A8Jn from Taiwan last April 1, 2007. The seller of that notebook said that my notebook had 24 months Global Warranty, so he bought that for me. Now, my notebook ASUS
A8Jn had a mysterious crack on the hinge back of the LCD, when I check the ASUS forum on the notebook's section, there are users of ASUS A8Jn experience the mysterious crack, please tell me what to do... Does the service center of ASUS here in Philippines can fix my problems? And does it covered the 24 months of Global warranty... Please help me... Thanks & God Bless...

The nearest ASUS service center should be the one you contact.
About whether it's covered:
in your favor: it is a well-known (at least on the forums) defect of the older A8-s
against you: it's physical damage (I know it's not your fault but they could argue that)
It all depends on how you make your case. Call the service center and do NOT say something like "my hinges have cracked, what should I do", but something along the lines:
"Hi, I have an A8Jn and it has been affected by the well-known cracking hinges problem. Could you please give me the information on how to RMA this thing for hinge replacement? It's of course still under warranty". -
Hi,
My A8Jp also developed these cracks, and ASUS guys replaces the LCD cover and other fixture free of cost. I think you should contact them ASAP.
Problem with my ASUS A8Jn... Help me pls..
