I've been looking through the forums and i can't find something related to this.
I've just got my new G1S yesterday, and i haven't been able to install the webcam driver, i've already tried all the webcams in this thread and the
installation cd and all of them behave the same way:
i don't know what else to try.
- Do you want to install ASUS 1.3M WebCam Driver?
- Install Failed! ASUS 1.3M WebCam
The device manager shows the webcam as: USB2.0 1.3M UVC WebCam
Ubication: 0000.001a.0007.001.000.000.000.000.000
Hardware ID: USB\VID_04F2&PID_B012&REV_0346&MI_00
USB\VID_04F2&PID_B012&MI_00
Would it be possible that it's defective?
I'm running Vista 32 bits, i've noticed that the asus webpage regarding G1S doesn't have a driver for the webcam, and only G1 has.

i believe the webcam uses a colby driver. try searching for that on the app cd

well the laptop isn't working yet, i've found from reading the launcher on the driver (camera/silent.ini) that my webcam correspond to:
[VID_04F2&PID_B012]
Class=USB
Vista=CHICONY\2KSETUP.EXE 2ksetup.ini
based on the pid. But if i ron 2ksetup it doesn't do anything but throw the error.
Could it be that the problem is related to my vista being in spanish?
