There seems to be an issue with the Asus I now have. If you close the cd slot too hard, tap the keyboard, or the laptop vibrates like when sliding across the floor then dots flicker on and of and patches off dots do the same. Sometimes if you tap too hard the entire screen cuts off. what could be the problem. my guess is it is a loose connection for the screen because when the laptop is still it can run games with none of these issues. if it is a loose connection what could I do to fix it? The laptop is an asus g50vt-x5

Yea, sounds like your screen connector to the main board is loose if its flickering with movement/vibration.

In my experiences, the connector for the monitor lies under the keyboard. There is usually a tab to pop up a certain area to unscrew the keyboard. Not sure on the asus G51J as I have yet to receive mine.

Try popping off the left and right hinge covers by squeezing. There are connectors under them.
