    Hi,,

It would seem that there are issues with my 270v that Im not sure about.

One thing is that for my touch pad, when Im browsing the internet, the scroll part of the mousepad doesnot work properly. I see the scroll icon pop-up when Im touching it.

It is it that it's because Im using Molliza Firefox?

As well sometimes when I come from standby, the fans on the laptop suddenly go full blast for like 10 secs. Sometimes just for the first few seconds but I once remeber it going for 15 seconds.

    Thanks... in advanced :)

.... yes. Someone said there are drivers that will work with Firefox, but I can't think of them (someone will chime in).

The fan is controlled by sensors which are controlled by windows drivers......... the fan wants to go at full speed if the sensors fail or something happens with the drivers... when you're coming out of standby, this is normal because Windows isn't controlling the fans yet.

Doesn't the BIOS control the fans though? That's how it is on my notebook and desktop.

I believe BIOSes control the sensor thresholds for fan activity... and Windows (or any other OS) can/may override them with software. At least I think that's how it works.

I take that back.. the sensors are controlled by the bios... but windows is going to control the cpu speed with powergear or whatever else...... when you're coming out of standby the cpu goes back up to max speed .... if you can get into system properties and leave it up while you go into standby, when you come back you'll see that the cpu is much higher and then will kick down..

The link that Coriolis gave above is the correct link for the latest synaptics drivers for the touchpad. They do work with Firefox.

To save you some scrolling with your older drivers, the link he gave is www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm.
