Hi I am getting serious problem with my a8jm lately.
Its mostly that the computer is fkn slow to respond. For example, when I type stuff it takes like 3-4 secs before it appears and when i change windows it takes 5 seconds to actually change and thats fkn annoying!!!!
I have strong believe that all this s*** started last time the damn "asus update" poped out and asked me to update, when I click update, the software kinda freezed in the middle of the update and I was in a hurry that day, I tried to close it but it didnt do so I just ctrl-alt-del and closed it by force. Since that day my a8jm became as good as my old 1998 thinkpad maybe worse.
I ran adaware but didnt detect a s***, I am pretty good when it comes to computing so I dont use any antivirus since I know what I am dling and how to avoid them and I am pretty sure this is not the result of a virus.
    Please someone help me!

First uninstall Asus Update (it's worthless and doesn't work anyway), and check your active processes for anything that is consuming a high percentage of cpu cycles ; that could explain the symptoms you're seeing.

You can also try a system restore to the last good point before the AsusUpdate glitch.

And if all else fails, you can always recover to factory defaults. And THEN uninstall ASUS Live Update and all the other crap.
