    Hi guys!
I have just purchased a new F3SV and I am having problems with it.
After the first day when I have started the computer it frozed saying "Configuring updates". It stayed like thet for an hour. I called Asus and they told me to run Windows Recovery. I did and it work fine. But after two days LifeFrame2 wouldn't start anymore, it just tried to load but it wouldn't and if I would try to restart or shut down it wouldn't (I would have to press the power button long to shut it down). So I ran Windows Recovery again and LifeFrame ran well but after I restarted the computer the same problem again: it tries to load showing the splash screen but it dosn't and the only way to resart is to long press the power button.
What should I do? I will probably run Windows Recovery again.
What programs shold I uninstall: I've read that some of you uninstalled Norton, Infineon and Asus Security.
    What antivirus should I use?
    Thank you!
Does it run well under Ubuntu?

Just reformat the thing and install windows again... takes a bit but is worth it, sometimes install just go bad.

Kasper is good along with AVG - Remove Norton promptly...

AVG is good until you try a real anti-virus (Uninstallating AVG free for AVG PRO got me 450 virus in PRO's first scan lol)

you need to upgrade your camera driver it sounds like to me, many people in the f3sv owners lounge have had problems with camera drivers not allowing htem to shut off their computer. So try updating them.

be careful though, asus used like 3 different companies to make cameras for this notebook for some reason, so make sure the driver you get is from the correct manufacturer

to find who made your camera go to device manager and look under imaging devices (i believe).

o, and i use avast, and fedora works quite well, so do the prereleases of ubuntu 7.10, but im going to wait for the official release in october before i use ubuntu again.
