I just applied the new wireless drivers from intel from the link provided by the front page of this site. However, once i installed them it seems to be messing up H-control. So now my side buttons no longer work. Anyone else have this problem or know where i can install an updated version of H-control?

If you have the latest ATK0100 driver from the Asus website installed...then there's nothing you can do at the moment.
I guess you'll have to wait until Asus releases an updated ATK0100 driver.

Yeah, the quick launch button on the side of the keyboard for the w3v doesn't work with the new intel wireless driver.

I had the same problem and fixed it. I can't remember what I did but I remember I found the answer on the Asus groups. Go there and type in Hcontrol and wireless and you should find the answer. Don't ever use the Intel drivers.

I had the same issue when Intel released the 9.0.2.0 drivers, and it was messed up until Asus released the next version of ATK0100. You pretty much just have to wait until the new Asus acpi driver comes out if you want to use the latest Intel wireless drivers and still maintain full functionality.

Kimochi, this is a problem I noticed as well, it's some kind of driver conflict with the Intel proset software/drivers.

When I still had my Intel 2200b/g I got rid of this problem somehow, but I don't remember how. It just went away.

Try reinstalling and uninstalling different drivers, play around and it might just go away.

    Cheers,
    Mike

In my experimenting with this issue, I suggest the following: In order for the hotkeys to function, you must use the posted ASUS Intel PROSet program (Intel Version 9.0.1.0, ASUS Version 050127) which is compatible with the current release of the ATK0100 drivers. If and when ASUS decides to update the hotkey program, then the newer version the Intel’s PROSet may function. You can still update the drivers only, however. Uninstall the entire Intel PROSet software, including the drivers. Install ASUS' version from their website. Download the latest Intel PROSet program from Intel's site. Make sure it is the zipped file (.zip) and not the .exe version. (…107948.zip) Unzip the file and go to the "drivers" folder. Run "DPInst.exe" and this will update the drivers only and not the PROSet program. Your hotkeys will continue to function. I have also done the following adjustments to the device settings. You will have to experiment on your own for these settings. Go to Intel PROSet program, and click “Tools”, “Adapter Settings”, which brings you to the advanced properties page of the Intel adapter. I have a 2915 adapter and have adjusted the following settings. “Power Management” set to highest to ensure a good connection. I have not noticed a major decrease in battery life. When using my Z70Va at home I set the “Roaming Aggressiveness” to lowest and my connection never drops. Hope this helps…..

I ended up reverting back to the version 9 intel drivers since version 10 offered no newer drivers other then the gui for the 2200bg.
