Hi:
Whenever I reboot/shut down windows it has trouble ending this program..
C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\CLI.EXE
I'm always forced to select End Now because when windows attempts to shut it down it doesn't work. I have Windows Media Center...
Please help, thank you.

ATI Control panel Utility is not really needed. You can disable it in startup if you don't really want to do much to fix the problem.
However the correct way to fix it would be clean the current driver and install the lastest stable driver. Check Guru3D.com forum where other have had problem with CLI getting hung. Most usually fix the problem with updated drivers. Other just disable the CLI using msconfig. Some just use registry editor and remove the CLI entry located in HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run
or HKCU/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run
Incase you are wondering what it is. You usually see the ATI icon in your tray. This is loaded with CLI.
On a side note: I recommend you change the timing on your intro on your design site. Need to close the opening black hole thing completely to give a better effect and make sure the sound ends after it closes. This is just my comment/suggestion though. -
i just disabled the startup of the program and it works.. does anyone have any evidence that disabling CLI.EXE has a negative effect in any way on your computer?
Program does not end when shutting down windows...
