Just wanted to give credit to the Asus Global Warranty and its Shanghai Service center in Minghan district!!!

Bought my W3J in the US back in September and yesterday when I was using my W3J I smelled something burning and then my laptop shut off. Tried to turn it on but nothing doing and the smell got a bit worst. Looked up their service center in Shanghai (since I am here working for awhile) number and got their address.

Drove there this morning and arrived around 10:30am, told them (in broken Chinese) that I thought my motherboard was fried and they took a look at it. Came back around 11:45am apologizing for the delay and said the motherboard did need to be replaced. In the meantime, they asked if I wanted anything to eat for lunch and delivered. Though what they offered wasn't anything to write home about, the fact that they did so was a pleasant surprise! By 2pm, my laptop was returned and was working like it should (though there was still a trace of the same smell...figure it'll be gone after some time).

No appointment, walked in and got a 4 hr service with free lunch, and the replacement didn't cost me anything! That is one heck of a service center...better than any car shops I have ever been to. :D Props to Asus, its Global Warranty, and its Shanghai Service Center again!!!!

A notebook repair on site via international warranty and free lunch? That's awesome, going above and beyond service. And now we know that support and service in Shanghai should be no worry for Asus buyers.
