I'm getting bad performance on my stock G50VT. 1366x768 resolution, all high, no AA or Vsync.
I don't have actual benchmarks, but it just feels really sluggish and slow and the prerendered cutscenes have this horrible skipping/distortion that makes it so you can't understand what the characters are saying.
I don't have performance troubles in other games. I'm using the newest official nVidia driver.
Any ideas?

It's the CPU holding it back, Quads work best for prototype.

Lol dude... How did you even expect to run prototype. That game is not a easy game to run. Just like GTA IV.
-
It's a HID device conflict. Disable those you don't need. High was playable on my C90S 720p so a G50 should run through it...

say wat. I am almost done wit prototype i played it on my g50v a2 and i played it on max graphics (1680x 1050 ress max graphics and i think 4 x anti alis)
once i ran it on my hdtv (1920x1080) on max graphics it worked almost perfectly -
turned my fps to 10-20 to 30-40 -
that HID info is very interesting, thanks for the tip.
also Protip: the G50VT runs GTA IV pretty decently and currently better than it runs prototype. -
Hmm was just playing it yesterday on my G51 on max settings (4xAA, no v-sync) and it ran beautifully. I really don't think this game is terribly CPU dependent since I only got a 2.0Ghz C2D in here. Moreover the graphics aren't terribly impressive so I wasn't really surprised it ran well.
Hope that advice on the HID fixes your problems.
