Anyone have any personal experience with the F3SV-B1. I pulled the trigger and purchased one tonight. I also bought another 1GB of ram. Total price around $1600 including shipping and tax.

I am not a gamer. Need the Graphics card for 3D image manipulation for CAD stuff. I looked at G1S but that is about 400 dollars more and doesn't have fingerprint reader which i thought would be more useful and don't really need the upgrade to the 8600m gt card, although it looks good.

Am I making the right decision? I haven't seen any reviews out there.

The F3Sv is kinda new, so I don't think theres any reviews yet.

I've noticed a rise in the use of the 'pulled the trigger' saying recently.

    I would have waited until a review...however...
since you bought one. Want to run a few tests and write a review instead? =p

The price/config looks very attractive to me. The build quality will not be that great, but I find the computer very good looking. Too bad I can't find one in Europe! We are waiting for your feedback now plz!

For those in Europe who are looking at the F3SV and dont want to wait I strongly recommend you check if the LG R500 is available in your country.

    It is a good alternative.

From what you've described as your needs, the F3 will do quite well for you. There is definitely a place in this world for non-high end gpu units, as many customers don't need the capabilities nor the price tag associated with them for their planned use. The G1 appears to have become quite hot with the under-25 and gamer folks - must be the blinky lights :).

The secret to technology purchases - once you've made your decision and purchased it, don't look back because there's always something lurking somewhere that will try and make you second guess your move. Just enjoy it :D.

Thanks for the info about the LG R500! That's fitting in my needs, I will look for a release date in France.
