    Purchased a Refurbished Laptop! Need Advice

    Hey guys! I purchased my first laptop ever today and it is the refurbished G50vt-x1. I was wondering what kind of stress tests should I be putting my laptop under initially to try and be certain it is in good shape before passing the 3 month mark of no warranty?

    Well most HDDs come with SMART diagnostics, so it would be worth running something like SmartExplorer to have a look at the HDD health: http://adenix.net/downloads.php#SmartExplorer.

    Also, something like Prime95 or Orthos to stress test the CPU and use coretemp or hwmonitor to check the temperature.

    Maybe somebody can chime in with what to use to stress test the GPU?

    I have used AtiTools to stress my GPU ( scan for artifacts button ), it works great, just dont overclock with it =P

    Its also good to see how temps works with the GPU in real time, its nice to see that the fans hits full speed when the GPU reachs 89C, and slows down after about 30 seconds when it hit 79C.. =)
