I want to purchase an ASUS laptop, N81Vp-D1 and was doing some researching of prices in my city/location (CAN) and then online from the (US). 2 places will order the laptop for me but one store says $1699.99+GST CAN and the other store said $1799.99+GST CAN. BEST PRICES TOO! :( So adding the GST, its quite expensive.
I am trying to figure out if its worth purchasing the laptop from the US as right now the dollar is good, 0.92 for who knows how long lol and I noticed this site is where many members recommend?

How would this work for shipping to Canada?
It's $1249.99 + shipping. Anyone have any ideas about shipping cost from this site? Is this site legit to buy from? Will there be any duty charges or extra charges on the laptop buying from the US? Do they deliver to ur door and how long it takes? I believe the product is made in China and should have no extra electronic charges...

I also seen the laptop on eBay for the same price.

What would u recommend be the best way to buy the N81Vp-D1 laptop? I think the US but eBay or the site I posted? Any other online sites?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Here is a previous topic of the N81Vp-D1 that had some other links... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=5118608&postcount=88

GenTechPC is a legit site and is highly regarded around the Asus forums. Check with THIS website to calculate the duties you'd most likely be paying. GenTechPC usually ships via UPS for US addresses, so it's best if you contact them and confirm which carrier they use since each shipping carrier will differ in duty/custom fees.

Thought it was a very highly legit site, ill email them now and see what they can do for shipping. I just hope its cheaper to order in the USA as the dollar is good for us Canadians. Ill get back.
    Thanks!

    Yupperz, D1 is released.

Cheers for the link. I just checked and the quote u gave me is prob just worth buying it here in my city, about the same and really no waiting for shipping lol

    Location is Alberta, Canada

Anyone order anything to Canada from GenTechPC? Any charges?

Ill do some price checks here soon and see whats best.

    Thanks man for ur help.
