On the DVD it says "Windows Vista Recovery Media for Windows Vista Products 32-bit".

Does it mean it only recovers the windows partitions to factory settings, or does it wipes out my Linux partition as well?

Generally, the recovery discs will wipe everything and start the unit from scratch. You would likely have to partition the drive again and reinstall linux as well.
