Yesterday I was looking for a laptop and found this one:
Brand: ASUS
Series: Vivobook S
Model: S510UN-MS52
- Click to see it in Newegg -
I honestly don't mind the VGA camera since overall it has what I was looking for, and it's cheap, the issue is while looking for reviews I saw an on-going comment about how the keyboard squashes-in while typing, I even saw a video where that was shown and it looks horrible.
My questions are:
1.- Is that problem still present in the model I linked?
2.- If so, is there a Do It Yourself way to fix it?
Thank you

Keyboard flex is a design flaw, there's no way to fix it in a thin and light laptop where the keyboard and top assembly are all part of the same piece.

1.- Is the keyboard flexing too noticeable while typing? (making it annoying) or one would have to press the keys harder than normally to notice it?
2.- Do you know if the panel is IPS?
3.- Do you know what's the gamut of that laptop? I've seen reviews saying it sucks for photo editing -

I have no idea about the keyboard, I don't have any hands-on
experience with it.
The panel looks like it is IPS from the specs I have searched.
I'm not sure about the gamut, you'd have to try and figure that out from reviews or by figuring out the actual make and model of the LCD panel.C1nn4mon likes this.
