So I bought an Asus N50VM-X2, which comes with a Nvidia 9600 GS video card, which I LOVE so far, but the color during games is bothering me: it looks kind of washed and faded. When I connect the laptop to an external monitor the colors are great, so the obvious conclusion would be that the screen on the laptop just isn't great, but I feel like the difference is TOO much. On my desktop, when I'm surfing the internet or watching videos the color is great, so I don't understand why it looks so faded during games. I should also tell you that I deleted Asus Splendid, so it's not that. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Try adjusting "digital vibrance" under the color settings in the nVidia control panel. I find it makes a huge difference, whenever it's turned off my laptop color looks totally grey.
