i have had my asus g1s (not a1 or whatever) for a few months now and am LOVING it. anyway, my roommate told me i should update my drivers because of a slight graphical problem he saw when i was playing dod: source on it. firstly, i am a HUGE n00b when it comes to gaming on pc; all i know how to do is play the games lol. anyway, i'm sure it's very simplistic and i have been to laptopvideo2go.com and i know i can dl the latest drivers but i have no idea what happens and which version i should dl for my g1s.

once again, i apologize for my ignorance on the issue but the g1s is the first REAL computer i have ever had; before it, i had a poor excuse for a desktop in a dell dimension 8400. so, if someone could please advise me on what drivers i should download, from where, and what is the process involved following the download, it would be much appreciated. in addition, what differences can i see (or supposed to see) once the drivers have been updated.

thanks in advance! this community has helped me out quite a bit before so i'm sure you guys will lend me some great advice. =]

That's not very helpful is it? :)

Hi, I have never used modded drivers so take this advice with a grain of salt.

I would say that you should download the latest version of the driver for your manufacturer (nvidia, ati). You also need to get a modded INF file (specific either to your GPU card, or to the laptop type, I am not sure on this point) in order for the driver to work.

Probably the site itself contains detailed instructions on how to do this. Also, if you search through the NBR forum I'm pretty sure you'll find the instructions posted many, many times.
