    Situation:
X is a happy guy who just bought his G50VT, X plays games and surfs the internet for 1 week on the G50. After 4 days X notices that a small part of the screen on both sides, stays a bit brighter than the rest of the screen when the screen is black. X becomes a "bright screen section paranoid" and starts researching everywhere and doing all the test in the world because he loves his G50VT and he self imported it from USA and uses it for college too, so if it's serious, its practically dumb to send it to the USA for fixing / replacing.

Your advice? Is it bad enough to send for replacement? is this normal with modern laptops? will this get worse/better as time goes / and WHAT IS IT CALLED lol ?

All LCD panels will have backlight bleeding. Some are more severe than others, and it really depends on the manufacture and model of the screen. The bleeding shown in the pictures above are so minor that I wouldn't worry about it at all.
