    My g51vx has a similar light set-up in the back and yes that middle one lights up whether plugged in or from battery power.

    I'm not sure if the SZ168D version is different from the A1 but this picture shows that middle bar lite up.

    its missing the ribbon cable from the factory. it is a light its just not wired
