Does anyone know if there will be different processor options sometime in the near future?

    XoticPC had processor upgrades.
I'd assume another model would be released eventually. From googling I found a Asus M50VM-AK005G model that has the WSXGA+ but it's a UK model apparently.

Im willing to be that there will be branch off models just like there were for the last M50.

I also would like WSXGA+ as thats what I am used too using.

Oh, XoticPC does have processor upgrade options ... why are they the only ones offering it?

edit: I just looked at the prices on those and I guess that answers my question LOL

Because they upgrade it themselves. A lot of other resellers just sell the notebooks as they come or offer hard drive updates only. Probably has to do with warranty and liability.

BTOTech also offers (more or less) full customization.

The reason this is an infrequent option is that anything beyond HDD and RAM upgrades (i.e. cpu) immediately and irrevocably *voids* the Asus global warranty and the dealer is responsible for providing all warranty coverage on the unit. Most dealers are just in the sales business, rather than support, and thus the dearth of options in this area.
