I have a Asus G50VT X5. Has a interchangeable video card. Has a 9800m GS. I have two 8800GTX's. Also a ageis card. Can i take out the 9800 and replace it with the 8800gtx?? is the 8800 better?

The 8800M GTX is the same as the 9800M GT.

The G50vt does use an MXM slot, but I believe it is a flipped connector so you cannot upgrade it.

what do you mean its a flipped conenctor? the way the card is mounted has the gpu chip facing out so the heat sink can sit on the gpu. same way the 8800gtx is?

You get what you pay for. The G50V from what I have heard is incredible value for money.

Judging by your sig why would you need better as of now?

well i would like a bigger rez and 17". also maybe sli. a xps m1730 is a great laptop and worth every penny. just i dont know if i want to spend over $2000 for one. yes this ASUS is kick but its missing media control button and a lighted keyboard. also the sound on the asus isnt as good as i would hope it would be but other then that for $900 you cant go wrong.
