I've had my W3J for a couple weeks now and I'm a huge fan. I've noticed that when the laptop finishes charging the total battery power remaining is 96%. Is this normal?

    Thanks

I have a Toshiba Dynabook and when I unplug my notebook from the wall it never reads at 100% fully charged. It starts at 98% and slowly lowers. I would say it's pretty normal wear and tear.

I'm not sure but mine says 100% initially after I unplug the power.

Someone confirm this... I think you have to recallibrate the battary. It won't regain the 4% that's missing, but it will reset the actual battary life (96%) to 100%. As far as I know, it's completely normal to have a battary that doesn't show a full charge when it's brand new.

I think it takes several cycles for it to be at it's maximum capacity. Like 4-5 complete charges.

Mikeoo17, yeah if you hit F2 in startup there is a battery calibration option in BIOS section. I don't know if this is what you are referring but it's there. I've already charged mine and drained mine completely at least 5 cycles already since I bought it.

That did the trick. The battery now reads 100% when fully charged.

    Thanks for the help.
