Hello, I own a ASUS Z81sp which I have an internal microphone which is located above my LCD screen and I would like to know how can I disable it so that I can use a headset instead for teamspeak. I can currently connect the headset but the thing is, that when I use my headset, my internal mic picks up my voice and also all of the background noise (kind of like an echo effect) Any information that you all can give me would be great.

i don't own the notebook myself, but when you go to "volume control" with advanced controls on (options > advanced ctonrols checked), is there a setting to mute that mic specifically?

options > properties may lead to some stuff as well, as to disabling the internal mic. hope this leads to something.

Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices Properties > Voice

toggle the Voice Recording drop-down menu. obviously you'll need your headset plugged in first.
