Justin, Eddie, Danny, or whoever is an expert on Asus Notebooks,

I think there was a post or thread about the ram installation in the W3J, but I just have one question. Since the W3J has a new chipset that differs from the one in the W3V, will the placement of the ram be in different locations? For example, will both ram chips be on the bottom of the CPU rather than one under the keyboard.

The placement of the ram is the same. If I hear this same question again I'm going to explode... Someone throughly convinced people that installing ram under the keyboard is like brain surgery.... I know it wasn't me. In the time it takes you to read this post, I can flip a notebook over, remove the two screws, flip it back over and push back the spring clips and bingo.... ready to put the ram in. It's easy! If I need to start a webcast to show how you do it to ease people's minds, I will.

All the memory upgrade in a laptop is the same way as Justin memtioned. Don't forget to choose the right model of memory such as DDR2, turn off and disconnect all the power safely.

I'm doing some searching and will do some more, but I didn't know if anyone had quick access to a walk through for this (just a link). If not, no biggy - I'll keep searching online and/or through the epic W3j owners thread.

EDIT: All set - found what I needed.
