Is the scrolling on the pad supposed to work in most app and OS windows, or just browser windows? I ask because I noticed that it didn't seem to work in the Window Vista start menu when I messed around with the display model at Best Buy.

Also, the scrolling is horizontal as well, right?

Its for internet browsers only I think. It probably will work through explorer (ie the file manager) too.

The scrolling should be horizontal. Haha....never even really used my touchpad yet since I've disabled it and have been using a MX518 the whole time.

It will work on almost every program, since it emulate a real scroll wheel mouse =)

I can use it even while gaming and stuffs like that, I have no problem using it with the Start Menu or any Windows Thing =P

Just make sure your Synaptics Drive is setup to work the Virtual Scrolling on "Selected Item", not "Item Under pointer" ( oh well, you choose what you like most here TBH )

But Horizontal Scrolling not all Aplications support it, since most mouses dont have it =) Sometimes you need to scroll vertically to scroll horizontal ( if it makes sense to you )
