Ermm i will apologize in advance if similar thread have been posted before...
So....
I have a question about installing Window 7 onto my F8Va notebook.....
(btw I purchased my notebook about a year and a bit ago...)
apparently according to a friend of mine, ASUS laptops have Vista embedded on to its system itself (or something along those lines, don't really remember exactly what he said) so that it will be hard to install 7 on to the notebook.....
when I purchased the notebook it only came with one disk that says Recovery Disk ...and it didn't come with a Vista disk.....but it had a serial code sticker on the bottom of the notebook.
Now my questions are...........................
1. Is it hard to install Window 7 onto the notebook (like according to my friend)??? or is he just making rubbish comments?![]()
2. And where can I get the drivers that are compatible with 7?
3. Stupid question.... Can I just install 7 overtop of Vista so that I don't have to install all the software i already installed? and save all the files and folders without backing up? haha i guess this is a very lazy question...^.^;;
hmmm i guess that's it for my question so far......
Thank you very much for your input,
btw last time i installed an OS was XP like 5 years ago....and i only remember that it took alot of time to do....T_T;; pain in the @$$![]()
Thanks again~!!

couldnt find win7 drivers for your laptop. maybe theyll pop up later.
also i would click windows update after you install W7. it should find some drivers.
yeah you can keep your files by just doing the UPGRADE instead of clean install. but its going to take alot longer to upgrade than clean install. also you might see that the system will be slower. to avoid this just go buy a 100 pack of dvd-r's and back up your data, and clean install the win7
Question about upgrading to Window 7 OS....for F8Va
