So my stupid retailar told me i dont need to do or send any type of info as he allegedly 'dealed' with warranty and stuff.

now after my lcd is half broken, i figure out there is some product registration that he has not done.

so i go ot the asus website and become asus vip member and activated my g50vt with the purchase date which is half a year ago..

and it says everything is ok and my product was registered.

am i under warranty now? how to check 100%?

I don't think the standard ASUS warranty requires any explicit steps from the buyer. That is not the case for the Accidental Damage Warranty, which requires registration.

So, chances are you are fine.

but i do not see any cards/paper to prove that i have warranty, all i got in the box was that book that you have to register but it says you must be in USA or Canada, and im not. so I left it, and registered online today.

The only proof you need is the receipt containing the serial# of the notebook, and the "24 months" sticker on the bottom of the notebook, also containing the serial #.

You're welcome. Don't take my word as final, since I'm not in the US, but here in Europe, whenever I RMAed an ASUS laptop, that's all the documentation I needed.
