I was wondering if you guys know if any of Asus's current models have Texas Instruments IEEE1394 controllers?

    Thanks

I will say however, that I've got an M50SV-A1 with a RICOH 1394 and it works flawlessly on XP with a Focusrite Saffire LE. I've only pushed it to 4 streams in, 4 out simultaneously with no dropouts. This machine is FANTASTIC for DPC Latency!!!

I had a Dell XPS m1530 which completely sucked for latency (had spikes every 10 seconds, no matter what I did) and this is miles above..
