I don't know much on the history of Asus notebooks, but i was curious to how often they used the same chassis each year..

so far i know the M6bne and the current model, the Z70V are basically the same chassis..

I about if this applies to other models too.

the reason why I ask is due to interest in the Z63 and wondering how long Asus would use this chassis for years to come. Just considering the future of spareparts for a certain model as i continue debating between the z63 and compal efl30.

We started to run out of parts for the first systems we got in... about 3 years after the notbeook was released....... Now, those were the exact parts and they never made a refresh of that first notebook we got. With something lik e M3 (this years Z61a to be released) ...... It's been out for two years already, but these new parts should work just fine...... so we might get a total of 5 years out of that model.....

    It all depends.
