    Hello,

1- currently my asus a8js processor actual timing is 1992mhz.

how do i set it running originally 2.00ghz max.
i have already set the power plan to all max. but still the same.

2- my Asus NB Probe program is shown only

    cpu temperature -Normal-
    cpu fan -Normal-
    cpu speed -100%-

can it changed to degree and RPM format?

Anyone can advise me? Thank You :p

It is normal for a CPU to not run at exactly the frequency specified because of imperfections in the manufacturing process.

First of all, welcome to the forums, riinki.

Next, I would suggest you don't force the CPU to always run at max speed, because most of the times, the speed is not needed. (Enhanced) Intel Speedstep is there for a very good reason, and you're only overheating your notebook by pushing it hard unnecessarily.

Additionally, I would suggest MobileMeter for temperature monitoring (assuming you use XP). Won't read RPM of the fan though. Maybe Everest does that but I'm not at all sure.

Edit: pls don't cross post, I have deleted your post on the Owner's Lounge.

I've been having the same problem with my Asus G50V1 on NB probe reading that my CPU is at 100% when plugged in and set on power saving mode. It is at 50% when plugged in and set at balanced mode. I can't for the life of me find out how to turn it down. Or maybe I just dont understand the CPU speed dynamics, im not sure what to think. However, it will jump back to 100% even when set on balanced at times??

Edit: I think i found the answer
