    Question to the gamers that own a G51J-A1..

    Hi all,

    This is one of the two laptops that are topping my potentials list for my wife (I have an RX05).

    The two laptops in consideration are:

    G51J-A1 (~$1500)
    G51VX-X3A (~$1300 after tax and/or shipping, $1199 pre)

    The main concern is 25 or 40 person raids in WoW. Any other games she would like to play I know are covered by either system without a problem (COD, Sacred2, Titan Quest, etc.). WoW is a weird beast as it's GPU requirements aren't huge, but when it comes to larger raids it taxes the CPU and tanks the FPS. So, anyone with either of these laptops - that happens to play WoW and raids, do you have a problem in 25 or 40 person raids?

    I haven't played WoW on my G51J, but I used to raid a long time ago on much much inferior laptops without issue...

    I run 25s on my G51J, there's no problem with it whatsoever

    I run maxed out on my G72GX Quad without OC, lowest fps I get is 10fps in Ony Lair when everyone is killing the whelps. Im sure those machines could do the same

    Yeah maxed out, except shadows (dunno, never liked the WoTLK shadows all that much but turning it on wouldn't hurt the frames too much anyhow)
