i'm very happy because asus have this new v6va (great!). But i was wondering if it is possible to change v6 poor screen for v6va great screen. I'm not shure of this, but if its possible, who have asus v6va could post some pics of the screen, or if Justin can post a side by side foto to compare screen quality. it´s difficult because fotos doesnt are the best way to compare screen's :) , but just for an idiea. because here in portugal i have to wait a lot to see that beauty (v6va).
Changing gpu controler (x600 - > x700) is almost impossible. Unless i was a eletronic guru, and i think that the motherboard of the v6va is a new version to support mbx700. Not mension , the graphic memory integrated of v6v is 64 and v6va 128... so maybe impossible. But i think that changing screen maybe possible. Can anyone tell me that?
ps: like i said before, if possible, post some pics to compare screens..
    thx

It should be possible, but I can see a pricetag of $400+ or so...

    So its not worth it...

You're looking at more then $400 plus the labor to install it...... and that's if Asus will sell it. One of my employees broke their v6va screen last week and the US office doesn't even have extra screens at this point.

Also - NO one will get the IPS screens for replacement... if you break your screen you're going to get the regular color shine (which is still a good screen)... Asus said again that the IPS screen was too expensive to use and the supply is horrible, so they can't count on it.
