    Hi. If you have G2S, could you tell me which manufacturers you have for HDD and LCD?

    Also, could you tell me if you hear a noise similar to the following from your HDD:

    i have a hitachi hd and a samsung screen. mine makes a similar noise on occasion, dont know what it is. it'll happen in regular intervals, every 20 seconds or so.

    Maybe it's the HDD seek noise? That wouldn't happen at regular intervals though.

    Thank you both for the reply. I had Hitachi HDD also, and it made the noise at least once per minute whenever the HDD was idle. It was very audible too because I could hear it even when watching TV on my laptop.

    I listened to the audio file, and it really sounds like a seek noise, or maybe the R/W head parking. It doesn't sound like an abnormal sound / failing drive at all. It's just that Hitachi's are usually more loud than other brands.
