    regarding the 'instant on' technology, it says it can run music without booting up.

    does this only work by putting a cd in? can i play music stored on the computer just by pressing the buttons?

    also, does it have a built in wireless mouse receiver like the W5A?

    is this 2.0kg? or 2.2kg? because i've seen two different specs.

    There is a CD button to turn the feature on.
    2.0kg or 2.2kg depends on the battery. I think 2.2kg is with the battery. 2.0 without.
    It has the wireless RF receiver too.

    Rafale - thanks for trying to help out, but please try to be a little more precise when posting fact. Some of these details are VERY important to those people asking for them.

    1. Audio DJ turns on the cd player and players physical cds without booting into Windows.
    2. The W3v doesn't have built in RF like the W5.
    3. The weight of the W3 in the US is going to be more than abroad because of battery differences. I don't know where you are, but the following is true.

    ~4.6 LBS w/ US optional (Euro standard) 4 cell and travelers drawer- 2.087 kg
    ~5.0 LBS w/ US standard 8 cell and travelers drawer- 2.268 kg
    ~5.4 LBS w/ US standard 8 cell and optical drive- 2.449 kg
