The netbooks only have a single RAM slot - no room in there for two of them :).

I upgraded the 1GB stick to a 2GB stick. Took all of about 4 minutes.

I also took a ghost image of the disk - upgraded to 500GB and then reghosted initial image.

I now have a spare 160GB drive and a spare stick of 1GB RAM.

    Mine is an

If that's the case, then Anadtech may be guilty of false advertising. The N10J comes with a stock 2GB stick of ram and there's no reason to doubt that the N10Jc would be any different.

The N10Jc comes with 1GB of RAM stock (all XP netbooks infact are limited to 1 GB due to Microsoft and Intel's restrictions), but you're right the N10J comes with 2 GB of RAM.

Yes yes, what I am referring to is the Max RAM is 1GB as well. Is this a mistake on all of them?

The max RAM for all of them is 2GB, so that must be a typo.

I think they have confused the maximum physical RAM with the maximum Ram permitted to be installed before actually selling.
