Is it the same as the function key for the CRT/LCD ? Fn+F8?

Was gonna hook my G51 up to my LCD via HDMI so I would have sound also...

You output display by using the fn+f8 combo. As far as I know, you need to manually switch your primary sound device to HDMI when you want to output to your TV.

    It's what I've been doing. I'm sure there's a simpler way, though.

Yeah and I ended up finding a post on here with some driver versions that actually work with the HDMI.

Not sure if that fixed it or not. I just noticed I didn't get the "Found Hardware" beep when I hooked up the HDMI cable. LIke I do when I use the VGA cable...

I ended up downgrading to the 185.85 NVidia drivers and tested with that and now the HDMI works fine.

My wife's co-workers got her into True Blood so I "got" her the first 2 seasons to catch up on and I didn't feel like putting them on disc hah.

197.45 works perfectly fine for HDMI output, if you'd like to give those a try.
