    Quick question about S/PDIF on the G50V

    Hi there, this would be my first post in this forum!

    Tried searching through the manual but they don't specify wether the S/PDIF port is optical or coaxial. Trying to hook up my brand new G50V to my A/V Receiver (Onkyo, which has both opt and coax inputs). So I'm about to order the correct cable, could you please help me out here?

    Oh, and another question considering the HDMI port. Tried watching some HD clips on my 40" full hd Samsung and was surprised that there was also sound going through the interface. Will this be a problem when I want to use S/PDIF for mp3s and everything movie related?

    you should be able to kill the sound via hdmi if you wanted to.
    its optical on the g series
